ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Zanele Apata launched her professional journey in 2009 at PwC, where she served as a Client Account Associate, supporting audit engagement management for insurance clients. Her career growth continued in 2013 when she joined EY, further honing her skills. In 2014, she moved to Deloitte, where she stayed until 2020. During her time at Deloitte, Zanele held positions including Academic Learning Consultant and Marketing Coordinator, eventually rising to Senior Communications Consultant and leading internal communications for the audit practice across Africa.
In January 2020, Zanele made the bold decision to pursue entrepreneurship—a journey that was briefly postponed by the onset of COVID-19. In 2021, she realised her dream by founding Mshiswa Accessories, an online fashion accessories business. She also established ZA Creative and Projects, merging her extensive corporate background with her passion for creativity. Alongside her entrepreneurial pursuits, Zanele embraces motherhood, balancing the responsibilities of raising both a young adult and a toddler. These experiences are at the heart of who she is.
Zanele holds a Marketing Management Diploma from Varsity College and a Digital Marketing Certificate from Google. She is interested in pursuing a qualification in Public Relations as well.
